I took a stroll down memory lane...I remember sitting in the auditorium the day cards were passed around for us to list information so we could be "found" for reunions. I had no intention of every returning, so I promptly threw it away. Looks like I was "found" anyway.
I did not have close friends at the high school, most of the people I hung out with were either dropped-out or older. And you have to realize, there were 1200+ people in my graduating class, so it was easy to be a loner in such a big crowd. I do think it is fun to look for familiar names on classmates.com and see what folks are up to these days. I kind of want to go, but I know I wouldn't know anyone there.
Nowadays when I go "home" to Edmond, it's so wierd. It's not really my home anymore, I don't know anyone there but my immediate family and lots has changed. Even so, it's still comforting a strange way to go back to the place I grew up and loved so much as a kid. It's a part of me.
My favorite thing to do is get an ice cream from Braums. We don't have those in Tennessee.
Roberta!!! I remember you and wish you would come to the reunion. Though now I'm depressed reading your blog. I guess the 2 weeks we went out didn't have much of a lasting impression with you. LOL
ReplyDeleteJust kidding. Looks like all is well with you. Glad to hear it. The pictures with your husband's head held up everywhere are hilarious.

Hey, Donny again.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to blogging but my wife made me start one. Looks like I stole your template. I guess I'm not that original. Anyway, had to mention what I read on your blog on mine...http://holbrook3dandc.blogspot.com/
