Boston-Day 4

Today is our last day in Boston. I have a busy morning of conferences, then off to the airport. So no more pictures.
In case you did not know, Danny did not really come with me to Boston. I printed out a giant photo of his head and people held it in front of them to make it look like he was there!

Made for some fun moments for us. I don't think Danny actually enjoyed his trip as much as we enjoyed having him along!

Aloha,

Bertie

Danny Goes to Boston-Day 3

Today we did a trolley tour of Boston. It was the best way to see the city in a short amount of time. Because many of these shots were taken on the trolley as it is moving, they aren't the best, but are worth a look. Sorry, I was not able to take notes AND shoot photos, so I don't know how to label some of these!

The original Cheers building. This is where all the exterior shots on the TV show were shot.

The USS Constitution. The oldest naval ship still afloat. Danny had a great time on this tour!

Danny Goes to Boston-Day 2 continued

Last night, we all went to the North End and ate at a real Italian restaurant called Piccola Venetia. Afterwards, we lolled around in a real Italian pastry shop. Enjoy the pics!

I loved these cute boxes!

Here we are navigating the subway--a new experience for Danny!

Danny Goes to Boston-Day 2

While I was in conferences today, Danny hit Newbury Street——Nashville style! Here are a few highlights of what I learned today at HOW on the subject of creativity:
• Inspiration is all around you
• Believe in your ideas
• Keep your mind active
• Be ready to capture your ideas
• No such thing as censorship
• Create a little bit every day
• Use every excuse to make something
• Don't be afraid to fail

For lunch, the gang headed to the local saloon:

I loved the little tables outside on the patio. It reminded me of a scene you might see in a movie, or a sitcom. Although it was a little too cold to eat outside today.

The gang back at the hotel:

We have another conference tonight and then we're taking the Green Line to the Blue Line to get to the North End where there is a good Italian restaurant. Talk to you later,

Bertie

Boston-morning walk

Today I woke up and walked 3 or 4 miles with my friend, Nora. Although Boston seems like a safe city, Danny reminded me that it is the home of the Boston Strangler, and not to get a false sense of security.

Here are some of the sights from my morning walk:

Danny Goes to Boston!

Yesterday, I arrived in Boston for the HOW Design Conference. Due to work and family commitments, it's always hard for Danny and I to get away together. But, I did find a way for Danny to enjoy my trip to Boston!
Enjoy the pics, and check back daily for updates. I'll be back in Nashville Wednesday night!
