My teenager is an alien

I'm in the kitchen cooking a normal dinner on a normal weeknight
after a normal day at work and I hear my teen-age stepson, 15,
ask his dad "So what do you think about me getting a tongue ring?"
What! Is this what teenagers are thinking about and wanting to do?
His dad told him "No" in lots of ways, and Rich replied with
"But why not? Piercings aren't wrong. You aren't saying piercings
are wrong now are you?"
Of course, no explanation we provided was acceptable,
so he had to settle for..
"sometimes it's our job to save you from yourself!"

MOOSE is a horse!
Moose continues his stall rest. He is such a good boy about it all. I have started to
turn him out in a small paddock. He needs lots of exercise walking to strengthen
his ligament. The vet assures me he will be back to 100% again.
Just takes a lot of good ole Dr. Green.

Tree massacre

We have been busy cutting down dead trees that were killed during the great drought of 2007.

Dan and Rich took down 11 trees over the weekend, and they are already burned up and gone! I love it! Richard is looking like a teenager, huh? He learned to use the chainsaw and is quite proud about it.
