Babies on the farm!

For some reason, our diva barn cat, Callie Ann, decided to let a bird build a nest in the barn aisle. Falling down on her job? Maybe. Or perhaps she is looking forward to getting a family meal deal.
The nest has 4 baby birds inside it! One fell out, and I put it back in, thankfully before Kolten got to it.
Enjoy the pics!

Movie Review—The Happening

This movie sucks. We went to see Indiana Jones, but since I don't "Fandango" it was sold out..so we saw The Happening. I usually like M. Night Shamalayn (or whatever his name is) movies...but this one was just stupid. There was only one part that startled me enough to make me jump!
It might appeal to the intellect of those who are not old enough to legally view it...young teens.

High School Reunion

Has it been 20 years? I just got a letter in the mail that my 20 year high school reunion is this summer. Now that really makes me feel old. I can't believe how much time has passed.
I took a stroll down memory lane...I remember sitting in the auditorium the day cards were passed around for us to list information so we could be "found" for reunions. I had no intention of every returning, so I promptly threw it away. Looks like I was "found" anyway.
I did not have close friends at the high school, most of the people I hung out with were either dropped-out or older. And you have to realize, there were 1200+ people in my graduating class, so it was easy to be a loner in such a big crowd. I do think it is fun to look for familiar names on classmates.com and see what folks are up to these days. I kind of want to go, but I know I wouldn't know anyone there.

Nowadays when I go "home" to Edmond, it's so wierd. It's not really my home anymore, I don't know anyone there but my  immediate family and lots has changed. Even so, it's still comforting a strange way to go back to the place I grew up and loved so much as a kid. It's a part of me.

My favorite thing to do is get an ice cream from Braums. We don't have those in Tennessee.
