Dog days of summer

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. It's not that nothing is going on...it's that EVERYTHING is going on at once! The summer is my busiest time at work. I volunteered to be an assistant teacher at my church's Vacation Bible School. This year I requested kindergartners. They were fun, but did not like me as much as the one-year-olds. They liked the preteen helpers the best. I guess I am showing my age, even to a 5-year-old.

Then, I planned and helped produce our VBS 2009 marketing shoot. It was very hectic, but I think all in all it went well. The VBS push isn't over until the end of August, when my video will be edited and all the product shots done and the catalog designed.

I really do believe in the mission of VBS, that we need to be planting seeds in the hearts of our children about who God is, that they can pray to Him, and they can have a relationship with Him. They aren't getting this info. in schools, and many aren't getting it at home or even attending church with their families. More people are reached for Christ through Vacation Bible School than any other outreach--it's a fact!

It's been super hot here, too hot to ride horses or do anything outside so I might as well be working. I'll be glad when it cools off a bit.

Adios,

Berta
